originally a song built in the “toada” form, dry and melancholic, typical of northeastern brazil,
the lost love from the distant, almost mythical past gained another poetic spectrum with marcelo caldi´s arrangement, creating a bridge between brazilian dry lands and humid argentinean river plate, land of one of the composer’s musical passions: astor piazzola. “and now i sing quietly, within this mourning empty. Peace, ocasionaly war. Were we in river banks? Were we in hortensia sheds? Above, thousands of stars. Antonieta of april, our days have long passed...”
